Ms. Dana Moore, Assistant Principal

Ms. Dana Moore

Ms. Moore began her teaching career as a physical education teacher at Wilson Middle School. She taught there for 16 years and then moved to Washington Middle School as the school counselor for four years.  She joined the John Muir team in 2019/2020 as the Athletic Director and interim Assistant Principal.  Ms. Moore received her BA in Kinesiology and Physical Education, her M.Ed in Education, and another M.Ed in School Counseling.  She loves to exercise, sew and attend her children's basketball games.  Ms. Moore says her greatest accomplishments are her children and the students that she works with.  What she loves about Muir is that she enjoys being a part of a school with such a rich history that has great community support.  She also enjoys her students and watching them grow and accomplish great things.
