Mr. Mario Hernandez

Mr. Hernandez began teaching at Muir in the Fall of 1994.  This is his first and only teaching position.  He earned his BA at UCSB in Spanish Literature and his MA at CSULA in Educational Administration.  Family is everything to Mr. Hernandez and he loves to travel with them.  He also has a passion for soccer, working out, cooking, and collecting Dodger Bobbleheads.  He has served JMHS in various capacities: Math Department Chair, Academy Lead- Freshman Academy, Varsity Soccer Coach for 24 years, Mecha Club Advisor (Hispanic Heritage Celebration Assembly), and Class Advisor.  Mr. Hernandez loves the students at Muir. He says it's amazing to see the evolution of students from young adults to becoming pillars of our community (business leaders, parents, community advocates and leaders.)
