Special Education Department
The philosophy of the Pasadena Unified School District’s Special Education Department is “All Students Will Learn.” Special Education is a continuum of programs and services to students with special needs. Special Education programs and services are provided to eligible students in addition to the general education program that is provided by the District. The basic goal of the Pasadena Unified School District Department of Special Education is to deliver high-quality special education programs and services to our students with disabilities. The primary purpose of the Special Education Program is to assist students and help increase their knowledge, skills, motivation, and achievement. It is our goal that students, regardless of their ethnic, cultural, or linguistic background, be prepared academically, socially, and vocationally to become fully employed contributing members of society, leading to a meaningful and satisfying life.
