Magnet Grant

The Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) was awarded a $14.5 million Magnet School Assistance Program (MSAP) grant from the U.S. Department of Education to create new programs that promote diversity and increase student achievement at three schools: Altadena Arts Magnet, Washington STEAM Multilingual Academy, and John Muir High School Early College Magnet.

John Muir High School Early College Magnet will use grant funds to significantly expand its Early College offerings in partnership with Pasadena City College. Funds will additionally provide for state-of-the-art equipment and training for each of the school's three academies: Engineering and Environmental Science; Arts, Media and Entertainment; and Business and Entrepreneurship.
